O2 launches WiFi and 4G Calling
No signal? No problem, with WiFi Calling. Whether you’re at home, in a coffee shop or at the office, if you’re having a signal problem, you can use WiFi to call as normal. And 4G Calling lets you make calls over 4G, meaning clearer calls.
With WiFi and 4G Calling you’ll move seamlessly and uninterrupted between WiFi and 4G network coverage to continue your call, while being able to check your mail or browse the internet at the same time.
At launch, only the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will support WiFi and 4G Calling. There’ll be more devices soon after that, including other Android phones and older iPhones.
Important points –
- Calls are included as part of your usual tariff allowance. Out of tariff calls are charged at standard rate.
- More public places are being added all the time.
Calls on 4G should sound much better than standard 2G.
- WiFi Calling will be available anywhere in the UK, 4G Calling will initially be available in London, Leeds and Slough but will soon be rolled out nationally.
