Microsoft unveils new Office 365 business video solution
Microsoft has launched a new video streaming service for enterprise customers of its Office 365 cloud platform.
Stream is for uploading, sharing, managing and viewing corporate videos that can be used for education, training and cross-company information sharing.
You can share recordings of classes, meetings, presentations, training sessions or other videos that aid your team’s collaboration.
Other key features include automatic transcription and face search – two intelligent capabilities powered by Microsoft’s cloud platform.
Stream also makes it easy to share comments on a video, tag timecodes in comments and descriptions to refer to specific points in a video and discuss with colleagues.
Like Office 365 Video, Stream is built on top of the Azure Media Services platform. Stream is designed to integrate with SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, and Office 365 Groups. It uses Azure Active Directory for secure, authenticated access and provides encryption.
Microsoft Stream is available to those with Office 365 Education, Education Plus, Enterprise K1, Enterprise K2, Enterprise E1, Enterprise E3, and Enterprise E5 plans.
Office 365 business users can access Stream from the Office app launcher or sign in from the Microsoft Stream website. Those without Office 365 can use Stream as a standalone service or test drive Stream as a free trial.
